The Practice
Anna Hummel Architect is a private practice based in Guildford Surrey undertaking small to medium sized new build projects, refurbishments and extensions. Led by principal design architect Bryn Riches we specialise in contemporary architecture and liase closely with our clients to ensure the delivery of every project matches expectations.
Design Philosophy
Good design solutions not only meet functional requirements but also respond to their context in place and time to
create well sequenced, memorable spaces.
We aim to achieve inherently energy efficient buildings by considering plan form, materials and orientation of glazing
from the outset of the design process. We also incorporate renewable energy sources and other technologies to make
further reductions in energy consumption.
Services
The core services we offer include measuring existing buildings, preliminary and detail design, statutory applications, construction drawings, specifications and contract administration. Additional services include party wall awards and planning appeals. While we prefer to take a project through from inception to completion we may agree partial services to suit the client's needs.
